The Engineer Support Vehicle (ESV), one of eight proposed Stryker variants, boasts the same power as its infantry carrier counterparts, enabling engineers to traverse challenging terrains with ease. The unit's previous vehicle struggled to keep pace with the infantry, which impeded missions due to visibility issues in dusty conditions. Now, engineers can confidently navigate the same terrain. Beyond power, the ESV shares similarities with other Strykers, including two Javelin missiles, a 50-caliber remote weapon station for internal firing, and a video camera for the driver's external visibility. The squad leader also benefits from a touch-screen display, providing real-time visuals from both the gunner and driver.
